the blade for cutting hard tile with angle grinders & hand held saws
For the best finish and to minimise chipping in external porcelain tile follow the guidelines below
- DRY OR WET CUTTING (Do not use water with hand held electric angle grinders)
- DO NOT use in a reciprocating motion
- Secure to a suitable flat surface like a wooden pallet to reduce vibration
- Secure tile on pallet so there is no tile overhanging
- Mark the line on the tile where you want to cut
- Initially score tile across the line in one pass
- To relieve tension and stop the tile from cracking, make a 50-60mm full cut at either end of the line
- Then cut through tile fully in one slow pass, do not apply pressure and let the blade do the work
- Cutting into pallet will have no detrimental effect on the blade
